Pride of Ownership

I believe in pride of ownership and maintaining the investment each of us makes in our community. When residents and business owners take pride in their properties, the local property values increase. The contribution each of us makes to achieve these goals is not only about spending money but about working hard for our community.

Public Safety

Evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of our police and fire departments is key to making our city safe. Greater police presence in our neighborhoods and reliable apparatus is vital to these programs. Reevaluating entry level police and fire positions will increase  retention, decrease vacancies, and strengthen employee loyalty to Montclair. Holding leadership accountable and assessing performance will further strengthen our city's public safety.

Accountability

I support stronger oversight of city spending, funding, and approval of development in our city. Better preventative maintenance of existing infrastructure will increase the life and reliability of these resources. Reviewing how our city taxes are spent will ensure that these funds are allocated according to the desires of our residents. I believe in working closely with our school districts to find solutions for traffic and safety concerns around our schools, including safe routes to school programs. Let's hold our local government accountable.
